The Centre for Psychological Therapies is based at the University of Edinburgh. Our aim is to help children and young people (up to age 26) improve their mental health by offering psychological therapies to children and young people in the community.


Free service that can be contacted anytime for any reason for support. Aimed at young people under 19 years.

Providing information and support to young people to hep reduce harm and promote positive choice making regarding drug use.

Providing targeted early intervention and crisis support to families including bullying, anger, stress/anxiety/depression, boundaries and family relationships.

Mon - Sun

Offers support to help children (aged 5 to 11 years) and young people (12 to 17 years) to get active, eat well and achieve a healthier weight

Resources and local groups for young people across Scotland from age 13 to 25

GP referral only

Clinicians can use this form to refer the needs of children, young people and parents/carers on an anonymous basis to Locality Operating Groups (LOGs) for further support advice.

Information, support and signposting for children/young people under 18 with a family member living with an incurable illness or who have been bereaved as a result of incurable illness

Offering health-related services, education and support for young people in Leith and North East Edinburgh aged 12-21. Including counselling, alcohol and substance support, sexual health and more


Providing support for young people with mental health concerns in and additional infomation for parents. Has a 24 hour text crisis line for young people.
